Meet Trishoni “Shoni” Newhouse, M.A., L.P.C., a compassionate therapist dedicated to guiding individuals and couples on their journey to a healthier version of themselves. With a wealth of experience and a diverse skill set, Shoni employs a range of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Imago Relationship Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Biblical/Spiritual Counseling.
Shoni’s approach is client-centered, meeting individuals where they are and providing support for their unique needs. Her toolkit includes sand-tray therapy, art expression, CBT, person-centered, solution-focused, nutritional psychology, and spirituality. Specializing in working with teens, adults, and couples, Shoni’s areas of expertise encompass acculturation, immigration identity, culture, racial identity, ADHD, trauma, foster care, adoption, and first responders.
Educationally, Shoni holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Care and Counseling, and a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling. She has completed specialized training, including the Responder Counseling Academy for trauma among first responders, The Body Keeps the Score training, and Resiliency trainings related to Adverse Childhood Experiences.
