Her toolkit includes sand-tray therapy, art expression, CBT, person-centered, solution-focused, nutritional psychology, and spirituality. Specializing in working with teens, adults, and couples, Shoni’s areas of expertise encompass acculturation, immigration identity, culture, racial identity, ADHD, trauma, foster care, adoption, and first responders.

Educationally, Shoni holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Care and Counseling, and a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling. She has completed specialized training, including the Responder Counseling Academy for trauma among first responders, The Body Keeps the Score training, and Resiliency trainings related to Adverse Childhood Experiences.

Driven by a commitment to holistic well-being, Shoni focuses on assessing values, creating healthy boundaries, promoting self-care, implementing anxiety reduction strategies, identifying triggers, establishing a support system, and providing education on community resources.
