Kimberly Tessmer is an experienced yoga instructor with over 27 years of practice and 9 years of teaching under her belt. She has dedicated her life to sharing the transformative power of yoga, fitness and nutrition with others, helping clients to cultivate greater physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Kimberly’s passion for yoga began when she moved to Kalamazoo in 2015 and began practicing at a hot yoga studio. She quickly realized that yoga offered a powerful complement to her life. She began practicing regularly and soon found that her practice helped her to manage stress, improve her focus, concentration, and drastically improved her connection to her body and breath.
After completing her teacher training program at Intentional Yoga, Kimberly began teaching yoga classes, and she has since worked with students of all ages and abilities. Her classes are known for their emphasis on alignment, breath awareness, and mindfulness. She strives to create a safe and supportive environment in which students can explore their practice and deepen their understanding of yoga all with a pretty cool playlist!
In addition to teaching yoga, Kimberly is also a certified Thai Massage practitioner, Meditation Instructor, and a Youth Mindfulness Educator, certified in Trauma Informed Yoga as well as Pre & Post Natal Yoga. She incorporates this knowledge into her classes, offering students guidance on how to nourish their bodies and support their overall health and wellness.
Through her work as a yoga instructor, Kimberly has helped countless students to achieve their health and fitness goals, and she remains committed to sharing the transformative power of yoga with others for many years to come.
