Hello Everyone, my name is Dee Ware. I am a Wellness Coach/Fitness Mentor.
Though I’m originally from Chicago, I do consider myself a Kalamazoo native. I graduated Kalamazoo Central High School and attended Davenport College. James Ware and I have been married for 20 years and are the parents/covenant parents of seven children. We are Papa and Grandma Dee to a bunch of grand babies. My wellness journey began about three years ago with the goal to look like Angela Bassett (or as close as I could get). After signing on with Plateboys, LLC; my trainer Terrell Alexander informed me – with raised eyebrow – that achieving the “Angela Bassett” look was definitely doable but would require work. He asked if I was ready to work. Of course I agreed, what did I know of what it would really take? I’ve gone on to compete in two powerlifting contests (setting a state record in one) and recently participated in a wellness competition. I medaled in all three contests. Medals and records are nice but what has lasted is the Process. The Process has served as a catalyst for me to make sustainable and expanding change affecting my entire life, not just my physical appearance. I would like to help you get started or get re-started.
