Sometimes on life’s journey things become too difficult to manage on our own. I see therapy as “Life Support.” Life support to help you get to a place where you are thriving, enjoying life, and becoming the best version of yourself. My goal as a therapist is to help you feel comfortable and to provide a safe place to process and heal from life experiences and current stressors.
I’m here to support you and walk alongside of you as you uncover the things that are stopping you from becoming the person you desire to be. I know what it’s like to be confused, broken, and not know your purpose. I became a therapist to help people overcome, heal, and take their lives back from all the things and people that said it was impossible. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where collectively we can reach your individualized treatment goals. My approach uses empathy, humor, collaboration, and education to develop goals and objectives for treatment.
I have experience working with adults and teenagers with problems related to trauma, emotion regulation, negative thoughts, negative self-image, self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-harm, relational problems, anger management, current military and post military issues, men issues, blended-family issues, and career challenges.
I graduated from Spring Arbor University with a Masters in social work. I have over 10 years’ experience working in the mental health field. Therapy can look different for everyone. No one is born knowing how to deal with emotions or regulate themselves, we learn this over time by others showing us how. I look forward to helping you learn life support tools so that you can get to a place where you are thriving and enjoying life.
